    In every article about # I read under "How Mastodon works" "Zerotolerance for hate speech". Someone should tell them, it depends on who is running the instance.

      @imo I imagine the tech press doesn't have sufficient amounts of technical understanding to grasp the difference between Mastodon and the flagship instance.

        Most don't cherrying care, Mastodon (the node) ideologically aligns with them so they're doing these promotional pieces on it, putting it in the best light even if that goes against reality or has them taking credit for other people's work.
