  1. Well, I am not going to put it under a subdoamin for that reason. I don't need the FBI SWAT destroying my house because a troll uploaded something illegal to that site, then called the FBI.

    1. @administrator Do you need them to do it for other reasons? (Sorry, had to let it out)

    2. @administrator this is a list if blocked file formats: exe, php, sh, bat, cgi, pl, pdf, zip, mp3, mov; what is illegal that doesn't fall under one of these file types?

          1. @1greg1 CP is short for "child pornography", which is the biggest no-no.

          1. @1greg1 People will always find a way to upload illegal content; it's probably just safe to not do it at all.

            1. @zarkanorf legal disclaimers always help :P just throw one at the bottom that says that the site isn't responsible for any illegal content, and that if such content is found, I can provide the ip address of the offending user

          2. @1greg1 Ideally you just have an accepted format list, 'cause anyone can name something .* and bypass that assuming you're not searching the file itself for internal data. Even still though, as others have noted, images in general are hard to moderate.

            1. @haganbmji can do that...

Tuesday, 07-Jun-11 05:15:17 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
              1. @1greg1 Probably easier to manage that way. And just allow the standard image formats, plus whatever else you might want to be available.

                  1. @1greg1 Yeah that seems pretty solid. Might even be able to accept .txt as a recommendation.
