Someone needs to explain to the Mastodonites what microblogging is about, I don't think they got the memo. First, Gargron tries to implement private messaging, now Mastodonites argue against indexing/archiving.
Here's the thing: if you don't want something to be read by anyone, DON'T MICROBLOG IT. Especially on a protocol that federates with strangers!-
@guizzy Unfortunately most of them come from Twitter where the illusion of private communication is a part of the marketing strategy.
