@vienna I need an OC that really like and can maybe connect with in a way. She's just a character I made when I was in a... silly mood. c: I'm a very, very picky person when it comes to making a character for myself. In video games with a lot of customization, I can easily spend 2+ hours in character creation, and then not like the character anymore after playing for an hour. xD

@tara I suggest starting with the character and what stuff your OC likes and dislikes.

@hakupony I've been thinking about what my OC would like/dislike for at least a month now. Problem is is that I'm not even sure what I truly enjoy, and that's what's giving me the biggest problem. Although I am starting to realize that I might just be more into small pets (particularly fancy rats, maybe) more-so than video games. I'm also constantly trying to figure out what kind of pony she should be. A unicorn sounds great for an animal without fingers or thumbs, because they always use their magic to hold and control stuff. But then I absolutely LOVE the wings that pegasi have for some reason, not sure why. They just seem like the cutest things in the world to me. But then I feel like she should be more unique by being the 'boring' earth pony, as everyone chooses unicorns or pegasi. Plus, I like the idea of being able to get something done without the aid of magic or wings. Then there're colors and what kind of tail or mane... SO MANY DECISIONS FOR MY ADD ;~; lol

@tara You need to take this step by step. If we assume that there is a thing your character really enjoys and that thing is what he likes best, then you can built from there. If you have a pony with very physical talents, it most likely is no unicorn. Also: rats are awesome.

@hakupony She isn't going to have anything too physical, as she isn't going to be a athletic physical pony by any means. In fact the main reason (that I didn't mention because I'm dumb) that I'd like for her to be a unicorn is because as a magic user, I like to think that they use their brain power rather than physical strength to accomplish what they want to get accomplished. Plus they get to sit on their butts while they work. But then I get no awesome wings, and she is most likely going to work with animals for the most part (like Fluttershy) and so wings would be nice for working with birds. Especially if i make her like a naturalist/explorer that goes out and discovers new species of animals (although that might not happen). Plus, a unicorn horn seems kinda 'girly' to me due to how unicorns are generally presented in a lot of media and I'm a big tomboy.
