    Still thinking about a chat layer for pleroma. Diaspora got an xmpp client, maybe pleroma should get a matrix one?

        @kzimmermann one problem with xmpp is that you need a bosh server, and xmpp has no built-in e2e encryption, file sending, offline messaging, message carbons...

          @lambadalambda bosh server? Not in prosody, but yeah, it's all customizations or client-specific from there (hey, flexibility)

            @kzimmermann you need a bosh server (probably as a prosody module) to use xmpp over http, I think.
