    5. @minti Hey minti, any good way of acquiring currency on that game? I'm trying to get lots of currents to send them to my friend who just started playing so she buys lots of cheap bags.

Thursday, 16-Aug-12 23:53:45 UTC from web
      1. @nerthos Ancestral Lands, no question - one, they have the highest value quoins, so the currant ones will be higher too. Two, most of the non-time-extension items received from the dust traps will sell for very nice prices.

Thursday, 16-Aug-12 23:55:40 UTC from web
        1. @bitshift I'm level 5, so I'm talking about craftables with good prices.

Thursday, 16-Aug-12 23:57:36 UTC from web
          1. @nerthos You can get to the Ancestral Lands perfectly fine at level 5. And realistically, anything you can craft will not actually sell for significantly more than the component materials (it'll usually sell for more, but not really enough extra to make it viable).

            1. @bitshift Botany.

Thursday, 16-Aug-12 23:59:36 UTC from web
              1. @toksyuryel @nerthos Oh yeah, forgot that. If you invest some time into learning the Botany skill branches, you can pretty quickly turn a decent amount of profit (mostly from herbs, though I think regular crops should be fairly profitable too). And I suspect pretty much any of the already-established players on here have a surplus of seeds if you need help getting started with herbs/crops.

                1. @bitshift In this game botany isn't herbs, it's trees. But yeah herbalism is currently nuts for money because everyone wants yellow crumb right now.

Friday, 17-Aug-12 00:03:12 UTC from web
                2. @bitshift Thanks. I'll raise botany-related skills then. So far I've been investing mostly in cooking.

Friday, 17-Aug-12 00:03:13 UTC from web
                  1. @nerthos Yeah. Just bear in mind Toks' correction - for herbs you'll want Herbalism, not Botany as I initially said (though I gather Botany is also involved in a profitable enterprise - I just don't know which one, unlike herbs).

Friday, 17-Aug-12 00:06:49 UTC from web
                    1. @bitshift Botany is how you create seasoned beans, which are used to plant trees. They all have a much higher value than their input components, plus crafting them gives you a TON of iMG.

Friday, 17-Aug-12 00:07:58 UTC from web
                      1. @bitshift Animal Husbandry also has this property- seasoned eggs are worth far more than the materials you use to make them.

Friday, 17-Aug-12 00:08:44 UTC from web
                      2. @toksyuryel Aaaah. I seem to recall that most of the prerequisites for that are shared with Herbalism anyway, so might as well diversify while you're at it. :P

Friday, 17-Aug-12 00:09:25 UTC from web
                        1. @bitshift Yeah I had to get some herbalism before I could learn botany. This was at a time when herbs were these mythical things that nobody knew how to grow because all of the bog houses were taken and community gardens suck.

            2. @bitshift Oh well. I'll try my luck with boozes, since I have LOTS of grain.

              1. @nerthos Something I never understood is why anypony would try to acquire a taste for something that tastes like urine in a bottle.

                1. @pony I literally have no idea how drugs taste like or feel.

                  1. @nerthos I tried non-alcoholic beer once. It tasted terrible. xP

                    1. @pony Here in Norway, we have something called "Gingerbeer". Not many people buys it, because they think it's actual beer x3 It's just a soda that tastes like ginger, and is made by a beer-making company.

Friday, 17-Aug-12 00:08:02 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                      1. @derpyshy Oh I love gingerbeer. It started showing up in stores in the US a number of years ago. Tastes great :3

                      3. @derpyshy Ginger Beer, while not actually being beer, is _really_ tasty. :)

                        1. @bitshift I had it for the first time today :3 and it's called "Ingefærøl" and is made from a Norwegian beer-brewery.

    6. @thatonestocking The action to use the item in the game is in fact by snorting it.
