Can anyone tell me how much HDD space I would need to run a Hackintosh on my laptop? I would only really use Garageband

@macpony55 >MACpony asking about hackintoshes >whats the name mean, then?
-
@macpony55 and probably not much, about the same as any OS.
-
@techdisk42 The name was based off my real name, Malcolm, and I first touched a MacOS system only a couple weeks ago when I started a music tech class at school, and now I would like to start using it on my computer so I can actually work on my music outside of school
-
@macpony55 >music tech >garageband. Schools these days, I tell ya. http://ur1.ca/9zw1w

@macpony55 ah. makes sense. btw, there are some pretty good garageband-like programs out there for Windows, but if your using it in school, its probably best to use the same program. personally, the only music programs i deal with regularly are FL studio and Famitracker; FL for editing MIDIs to play on floppy drives, and Famitracker to make 8-bit music.

@techdisk42 I've tried FL, all it does is make my head explode, we'll eventually be moving to Reason so I'll be able to move the files between school and home pretty easily since there's a Windows and a MacOS version of it, but until then I'm left only being able to work on my stuff at school

@macpony55 i have a Sony offering called ACID, but it just confuses me and crashes all the time. you also have to pay for it, and i only have it because it was preinstalled on my computer. (along with Sony Vegas, which is worth it.)
-
@techdisk42 Sony Vegas is amazing
-
@macpony55 yes. it is. and its even better because i got it free without piracy. (and without having to download it and waste bandwith. bonus!)
-
@techdisk42 Always a shame to waste precious bandwidth
-
@macpony55 true that!
