  1. So, Linux nerds. What would be a good light weight programming IDE? All I really need is proper syntax highlighting, and quick open time. Everything else is extra.

    2. @minti hmmm... well notepad++ in wine correctly highlights, but you cant run stuff from it.

      1. @techdisk42 I use Notepad++ on Windows, it's amazing. I'm trying to find something a little more native though. Although if I can't I'm probably going to go with npp anyway. xD

        1. @minti i think that gedit has some of those features. my friend (who uses linux constantly) has some sort of np++ linux clone and she uses it to program in python. cant remember what its called...

        2. @minti and ive always used np++ for all text based anything. even normal text files. notepad just aint enough.
