@techdisk42 Oh! better Idea! floppy drive Instrument... I need 40 Floppy DRIVES!!!!!!!!
-
@techdisk42 why make a drive play several notes, when you could tune each drive to the note it best plays!
-
@techdisk42 skype nao
-
@purple That would be amazing. multiply that by 16, and you have an orchestra for each note.
-
@cajunbrony23 nothing is set up for skype rite now...

@techdisk42 Just what the doctor asked for... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-20-Internal-3-5-Inch-Floppy-Disk-Drive-Mitsumi-Newtronics-Samsung-/150887726135?pt=US_Floppy_Zip_Jaz_Drives&hash=item23219bfc37#ht_862wt_1393
-
@purple omg i want that. like, ive never wanted multiple outdated electronics this much ever before.
-
@purple heres a tip: from my experience, Mitsumi drives are very, very bassy. im not sure about the other two, but i do know it says it doesnt include any panasonic drives. Panasonics dont work whatsoever.
-
@techdisk42 Well I am going to try it, I plan to try a note based version... I well need 4 more drives to get the 2 octaves I desire... I plan to try PWM control and see how the drives like it, and most likely latches to auto switch the direction for continuous notes... not as easy as one drive per channel, but will work well with more midi songs, as well as being able to play it like a piano
-
@purple yeah. that would be awesome.
-
That feeling when you know you have a floppy drive... Somewhere!
-
AH HA! found one!
-
@purple yaay!
