        2. @vampixxkitty it's just generally probably the easiest instrument. Good luck in learning it either way.

          1. @abigpony Actually. It isn't. People say it's easy but it really isn't so easy... I tried it and i got it and everything but with practice...comes perfection. Obviously. I had to quit my classes and i'd rather not explain why. Let's leave it at that. Anyway, Most instruments are usually hard. like i said before, everyone is different when it comes to learning so i don't agree with your opinion... Sorry.

            1. @vampixxkitty my previous comment may sound over-simplified, but it occured to me that method requires a play-by-ear perfect-pitch approach. You may not be able to do that.

            2. @vampixxkitty i've played bass, i know plenty of people who play bass and they all say it's the easiest instrument, but i'll agree with what you say about people learningat different rates half because it's true and half to prevent conflict here. Now i'm interested in the reasoning behind the first time, but shall restrain from asking.

    3. @vampixxkitty Just purchase any $5-10 video that teaches you how to properly hold, pick, and mute your instrument. Practice sequences of notes by repeating them for 2-3 minutes, because songs last a while and you want to stay in rhythm the whole time. As for learning how to actually play-play, just listen to lots of bass parts in your favorite songs and imitate what they do.

      1. @crusader8 I already know of this. Hah. I was thinking of that method. I can play by ear. It's not THAT hard. I can do it on the piano. I am fairly certain I could do it on the bass too. Mn. And yes. I've been taught how to do these things. except the muting and picking part. I use my fingers. No pick because it doesn't sound...as natural. Doesn't have that natural feel to it...you know?

        1. @vampixxkitty I used pick in general terms because I didn't know if you were using a pick or fingers. I can't get fast with fingers, because I taught myself to play right-handed so that my speed could lie in my fret-hand. So where does the difficulty come from? Learn the scales, make some counter-melodies to what the guitarist writes and go nuts.

      2. @crusader8 pick + bass?

        1. @renovatedkitchen yeah. You'd understand if I could explain what I don't understand but can do somehow

          1. @crusader8 but we were given fingers to play the bass. No need for a pick. Then it's too harsh and you can't do any effects

            1. @renovatedkitchen can't do effects on bass with pick, you say? Ha. Also, we have fingers to fing, long before we made bass guitars.
