      @widget --skip-grant-tables (combined with --skip-networking probably.) It allows anyone to log in with all privileges.

      @widget Stops people from connecting from remote hosts, so MySQL only works through a unix-socket. Which is more secure. But yeah, once you're done doing w.e I'd suggest restarting MySQL again with the grant tables.
