@nlghtmaremoon d[i$s][k$s] is matching the D followed by two symbols. :p

@redenchilada why... what bad word could d ! ! possibly be?
Wednesday, 05-Sep-12 02:30:23 UTC from web-
@nlghtmaremoon I assumed it's intended to catch cases of removing the C from dick.

@redenchilada Ah.

@redenchilada Well considering dictionary.com doesn't know what "****" is, it can probably stay as it counts as a workaround at that point.
Wednesday, 05-Sep-12 02:32:43 UTC from web-
@toksyuryel But the original word isn't censored any more. :p

@redenchilada But classes aren't bad, classes are what makes society work.

@redenchilada This is true! But it could also be a workaround for a homophobic slur (although THAT word also has legitimate uses so this is getting into very complicated territory).

@toksyuryel ...[sp]Qlxr[/sp]? I'm not well-caught-up on homophobic slurs, sorry.
Wednesday, 05-Sep-12 02:36:49 UTC from web-
@redenchilada Yes, that one. It has legitimate uses as well so it's a very tricky one, and probably unsuitable for filtering.

@toksyuryel Eh, I dunno, then. If it has legitimate uses, it probably shouldn't be filtered, and people using it as a slur can be thrown under Rule 1.
