You know, I keep hearing about all the improvements to this site's performance, but I don't see the difference.

@pony Known problem. :p It's cause he's having problems with the post queue, which offloads the burden of posting notices to a 3rd party thing.

@pony The text box often doesn't clear like you say, I have problems posting images sometimes, it handles everything the same otherwise. I don't get 500 errors, but it will sometimes just never post and continually load it or whatever.

@abigpony Yeah, those are all problems related to the queue. He added the queue for like 3 minutes to test it and the site went super-speedy fast. I miss it, actually. :(

@minti So is anything else supposed to work differently or something? It seems like it just replaced errors with different errors or something even though this one is like it's covering up the fact that there will be the occasional error.

@abigpony It's suppose to work, period. The real issue right now is that the request you send to post a notice lags the server like hell because it has to send your notice to every other remote instance that wants it, which takes quite awhile. Once the queue is up and that bit is handled behind the scenes by it rather than directly when you send a notice, everything should move a lot smoother.

@minti whatever. We really didn't have problems outside of 500s and stuff before, so this small stuff really isn't much of a problem.

@abigpony True that, but it'll be nice to see the site working 100%. I miss blazing fast posting speeds and such. xD

@minti They post fine now, they just glitch up every now and again. Is there a plan to fix the media tab or is it supposed to be annoying like such?

@abigpony That's .. I dunno. There's plans to fix it, yeah. But we're not sure how. :p And nah, the time it takes to post notices shouldn't be that long. It's suppose to be instant. xD
