  1. @xrevan86 I checked subscribed noted that I received from mastodon.social via Loadaverage during the last day. And I see that some of sent notes were lost for unknown reason. I don't see several posts (not only the latest) neither in # nor in a web interface of Loadaverage.
This looks like unreliable or broken synchronization protocol between Loadaverage and # ?!

    1. @andstatus I looked at https://loadaverage.org/user/358749 and I can't find anything missing.

      1. @xrevan86 @andstatus Mastodon instances often suffer from mangling content from GS, pA, and even Pleroma (the latter being particularly egregious since it also uses ActivityPub).  This is very difficult to diagnose sometimes from our end because as previously mentioned, many Mastodon error codes are downright lies.

      2. @xrevan86 Thank you for checking! Looking _now_ at my home timeline on the Loadaverage web, I also do see notes, which I counted as missed and which I still don't have in # on both my devices. I didn't do screenshots, so this needs to be re-checked... But maybe the problem occurs, when notes are arrived from # out of some presumed order?
From my side I will check if that concrete "lost" notes cannot be loaded to AndStatus client for some reason...

        1. @xrevan86 I'm starting to see, what happened:
you checked missed notes at "andstatus@masoton.social" user page at Loadaverage "Notices by AndStatus@Mastodon": https://loadaverage.org/user/358749
But when _I_ checked the same web site, I looked at my "andstatus@loadaverage,org" "Home" timeline at another url: https://loadaverage.org/andstatus/all
And at "andstatus@loadaverage,org" Home page I don't see some notes by "andstatus@masoton.social". E.g. with words "When I "Reply" to myself, I see empty toot at first"...

          1. @andstatus I must confess this makes no sense to me.

            1. @xrevan86 @andstatus Following mastodon accounts because of Mastodon's bugs is a crap shoot.  Often it doesnt work and we cant even reliably know it has failed because the status codes Mastodon returns are filthy lies.  Its gotten to the point Ive been telling people not to expect federation with newer Mastodon instances to work, necause even if I spejt the time to work around all of Mastodons malfunctions, Ill forever be chasing a moving target.  Most of their stuff doesnt follow the standards that apply to it, so undefined behaviour is to be expected.

              1. @maiyannah It's not likely a Mastodon bug, the posts are fetched just not displayed correctly for some reason.

                1. @xrevan86 it is.  Mastodon doesnt respond properly to the follow request, causing us not to create the following relationship.  The hubsub is created first, so you end up with it displayed in TWKN timeline but not the user who wanted to follow's timeline.
