So... after spending ages trying to get this bloody computer to work, I've discovered that even though firefox is installed, albeit buried deep in other folders, its been disabled by the college staff, who insist on internet explorer (not the IT teachers, they hate it as much as me), however I've got opera working... never used this browser before... 'seems I'll be using this in college then

@ceruleanspark Its completely dead, but for some reason opera works, thing is if I ever click out of anything, it all bloody resets

@ceruleanspark As we speak I have an even bigger nerd than myself cracking ipod touch into the new college proxy, it took him less than an hour to break it, he's a genius... from what I know, probably simpler than it looks

@purplephish20 Sounds like they've got deepfreeze or something applied that reverts changes to the machine when you log out. You'd need to keep the FF install someplace that isn't reverted, ideally a pen drive or an SD card.
