@abigpony My school isn't rich. At all. We are in debt. Teachers and being laid off left and right.

@abigpony School funding is spectacularly bucked up. My old district had a 'capital improvements' budget and an operating one, and by law could not mix the two. We were upgrading all are facilities to use up the one budget while cutting teachers because of a shortfall in the other.

@abigpony In my state, the way the state gives the schools money was actually ruled illegal. That was a decade ago. Nothing has changed.
