@thatonestocking that IS what makes us better...

@thatonestocking I wasn't implying that We're better. I simply made that statement, because we Bronies can bring good and kindness to the world.

@thatonestocking Everyone needs some kind of motivation. If someone picks ponies, I'm not going to shut them down because of it.

@avenger I have nothing against you man. I don't even know you. But what I, and anyone who spent more than a month in the fandom, do know, is that the "love and tolerance" concept, when not used in a sarcastic way, is dumb. Bronies won't change the world. No fandom will change the world. Nobody can change the world with love and tolerance. If you want to change it, use technology, science, knowledge and lots of violence against those who oppose you. Conquer them. That's the way you can change the world. The same way it was changed many times in the past.

@nerthos Actually it's theorically possible to change the world with love and tolerance, but that would mean overriding the individual wills of each single human, effectively turning them into drones. A subdued species of slaves. A fate worse than death.

@thatonestocking Being a good human is overrated... Being a GREAT human on the other hand...

@thatonestocking Oh god, laughing so hard.

@thatonestocking but it can be argued that a whole generation of Trekies helped make NASA what it is today... (or was a few years ago)

@thatonestocking No offense but... how do olympic athletes "improve the world"? I never understood why they get so much praise.

@omni They're an inspiration to push our limits? *shrug*
Friday, 21-Sep-12 05:56:49 UTC from web -
@omni They get praise because of their status as paragons of the capabilities of the human body, acquired through intensive training. They're a symbol of what a human can do.

@thatonestocking Hey, I had an epiphany and cleaned up my act over something rather that just waking up and being a good person. There's definately better reasons, but I'm not going to stop someone from being a good person because they want to do if for ponies. We don't have enough good people in the world to start turning people down.
