Come on, TV, not every furry believes they're partially animal. And not every furry fursuits. It's 2012, get your facts straight already.
-
@omni accurate facts are not fun

@mushi I expected National Geographic to be above this, though, but the only difference with most channels seems to be that they talk about it in a respectful, yet misinformed, matter.
-
@omni let me guess, you saw that on taboo? i already saw an apisode about furries

@mushi For about a minute, until my dad changed channel. I never really actively watch TV anyway, I was just sitting in the same room while playing WordFeud against my mom. (Felt a bit awkward, though, being furry myself xD)

@omni National Geographic can be so miss informed about things sometimes

@shadowdash454 I noticed. They at least seem to stay objective and respectful, from what I've seen, something I can appreciate.

@omni yes they do.

@abigpony I run into enough furries who don't. I do personally believe my soul MAY be partially animal, but I've always been a bad representation of every group (I can probably make bronies look mentally insane as well, even though not all are).
-
@omni And how are the souls of animals different from human ones?
Saturday, 22-Sep-12 23:07:23 UTC from web-
@hakupony That... is a good question, and one I wish I could answer right now, but I simply cannot turn these thoughts into words (right now), I'm sorry x.x
-
@omni I honestly don't think that our soul (even if it exists) determines who we are. If we talk about "souls" then we usually just talk about identity. It is not too weird to feel detached from humanity (this is what shamans and many holy people from various religions are) and it isn't weird to use animals as symbols to get a feeling of who you are. I feel that these symbolism doesn't really describe the animals but only our ideas which we project on them...

@hakupony You're making total sense and therefore I hope you will not see my inability to give a thoughtful reply right now as an insult, as it's past 1 AM and my mind is too tired to think properly. I do think what you're saying is probably very similar to my situation, and that I may be misusing the term soul x.x

@omni I can relate, there are times when philosophy is just too tiresome. It seems we live in the same time zone :3

@hakupony Seeing as you live in Germany, and I live in the Netherlands, eeyup. Both GMT+1 (or should I say [that other thing]+1?)
