@yodelerty Since when I start actually writing songs. A friend and I are doing a project thing in school where we're gonna make an album. Me on acoustic guitar and him on vocals and stuff. But alas, I'm horrible at songwriting and we're both lazy, so.

@yodelerty But that feels like cheating. What sucks is that the other guy lives so far away, so it's difficult for us to get together and actually work. For now I'm kind of just going through different chords and variations of them and whatnot, writing down all that sound decent. Reminds me that I should be doing that right now.

@yodelerty It would mean you would never get to hear me play the guitar and sing! Not that I'm sure I'm going to sing anyway. I am doing some singing exercises every now and then though, because I would like to be a decent singer. But yeah, I still kind of suck at it.

@flaxx I, too, would like to be a decent singer because I figure I should probably have at least one talent. Not going so well but I'm not really trying that hard. But, yeah, when you get that album out it'd be cool to hear it.

@yodelerty It will be available once it done, and we're thinking of maybe releasing small sneak peeks or something along the way. But we'll see about that. And yeah, having a talent would be nice. And I like singing. A friend of mine (that same friend who's in the band with me, actually) gave me the CD he used when he learnt to sing. It's with Brett Manning, and it's pretty cool. Makes me feel like an idiot while practising, though. >.>

@flaxx If you are seriously going to put music online, please put it on a cool place like Bandcamp as well. Some people don't like iTunes, and giving original-quality files is a big plus to some people (like me).

@omni Pssh, I don't even have an iTunes account and have no idea whatsoever how to use it, so that's out of the question. We haven't quite decided where to put it yet, but it'll probably be free.

@flaxx Bandcamp is free, looks good and takes care of all the "hard" stuff like tagging for you. The only limit you have is a file size limit (big), song length limit (long) and a free download limit each month (high enough to not be a real problem for most small bands). @derpyshy MP3 isn't original-quality, not even MP3 320kbps comes close to that :P (Well, close enough for most people to not hear the difference, but when we're talking about the pure sound, you're missing out).

@yodelerty My problem now is that I'm not sure I can put the music I really like on my phone because I don't want to end up singing along while sitting on the bus. Because the music I love is so sing-along-to-able.

@yodelerty Well, I find my voice somewhat enjoyable when I sing along to things, but not when I just sing on my own. I have recorded myself a few times and listened to it just to get used to my voice, though.

@yodelerty You know, it's not certain you'll sound bad, it's just that it's awkward, at least for me, since I wasn't used to my own voice outside of my head. Guess I didn't really sound /bad/, just different.

@flaxx Yeah... I mean, I know what my talking voice sounds like through a subpar quality microphone but not my singing voice. And I don't like my talking voice so I probably won't like my singing voice. I'll record it when nobody's home. >.>
