Okay, spammers bypass the whole link posting thing by first posting someone else. What about using e-mail confirmation and not letting people post links until they confirm their e-mail? That should stop most spammers. Or give a captcha the first time someone tries to post a link, and only the first time.

@omni I suggested the captcha before. Another suggestion I had was to make link posting for new members subject to moderator approval. Another idea is a time delay.

@toksyuryel I personally disagree with the time delay thing, but the first two are acceptable, even though I think a captcha is better than moderator approval.

@omni Captcha is probably the best option. Requiring one for registration is perhaps the best place to put it.
