    1. @eaglehooves Funny how? (Yes, I know I'm not @minti.)

      1. @bitshift I keep getting these popups telling me one of my HDDs has an error, and when I open disk utility it tells me "disk is being used outside design perimeters."

        1. @eaglehooves I can't say I've ever seen that before. But I believe that's related to SMART error reporting on the disk, which means you either have a dying disk, or a disk that's reporting itself as dying when it isn't. :S

          1. @bitshift It's a semi-custom SSD.

            1. @eaglehooves Ah, in that case you might well be (relatively) safe to tell it to ignore those warnings (assuming there is an option to ignore them) - I've seen a lot of reports that SSDs get falsely reported as failing by that component of the system. (Which is bad, and should be fixed, but at least it's a small load off your mind.)

              1. @bitshift That's what I was thinking. It was just throwing a spectacular fit, more so than it ever did with bad HDDs. (And this thing would be the biggest pain in my flank ever to replace)
