so how come ther isnt anything on the profiles that distinguishes males and females?

@phreak If you really, desperately need to know someone's gender, you could just ask them. It's not like it's a vital piece of information without which you can't communicate with them, so there's no need for the site to record/display it.

@phreak Normally the real name has that. Some ponies don't but.... 9/10 It's a guy. I can name most of the girls on the site though if you want.

@phreak There wasn't anything for that kind of field written into StatusNet (the software this site is based on) by default, and nobody's found it important enough to add in. If you'd like to let others know, you can put it in your bio! ^_^
