@ceruleanspark PETA is one of these strange groups. On the one side, you're happy they exist because they make sure people learn that there being a problem and can sometimes come up with good information, on the other side you just can't stop feeling embarrassed for their stupidity and just plain offended for every dumb thing they do in the name of "animal safety" and they slow everything down. I just wish they'd show their good side where they promote stuff without being complete jerks more often (like on their website (not blog), they look like pretty decent people) instead of constantly showing their "HEY YOU EAT ANIMALS YOU MURDERER WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF I WOULD KILL AND EAT YOUR FAMILY HE? WHAT WOULD YOU DO THEN?" side.

@omni And no, I have no clue what happened, but I'm staying far away from PETA as they just plain disgust me most of the time.

@omni The ASPCA is trying to convey the same message in a much less insane way, just support them. (I'm pretty sure they're actually trying to avoid being connected to PETA and all the associated crazy, actually).

@omni Actually, I'm not particularly glad that they exist. Not only do they promote and advocate intimidation and violence, massively undermining every single cause they try to promote, they actively euthanise 85% of the animals they rescue.
