@renovatedkitchen If life wasn't horrible, I think a lot of things wouldn't exist. It'd be pretty weird actually. In the Matrix, the architecht actually states that the original matrix was supposed to be a perfect world, but that humanity subconciously rejected it.

@ceruleanspark Actually that is pretty much the trut nowadays, I never watched the Matrix but now I am interested.

@whiterose pretty much everyone's been there I'm sure. I have to live so I can sacrifice my life for someone else. Pretty pointless and depressing thought.

@renovatedkitchen Not really, that shouldn't be your goal but if the opportunity presented itself I hope I could be brave enough to suffer through death then let a friend, or even a stranger die because I was a coward :)

@whiterose I watched Wreckage today before I left for work, the guy was tracking his girl and he didn't care if he got killed or not. By the way Wreckage is a good movie if you like thrillers :)

@whiterose join military > take the bullet for someone else so that they can feel meaningful and have a second chance. Either that or I just take myself out. Same result, but first option helps someone.

@renovatedkitchen I get the feeling you are on a anti-depressant? Those things supposedly level your moods, but really all it does is make you numb. I used to be on Abilify and a ton of other drugs for Schizophrenia and depression, I am off every single one of those for the last three years, that whole time I held this job I have now.

@whiterose I should be on something to keep me level, but if I seek medication, it will probably put a black mark on my medical record for when I apply to be a fighter pilot.

@renovatedkitchen I think some level of adversity is necessary. I don't think life has to be as generally awful as it is for a lot of us, but a life without struggle would be functionally meaningless.

@ceruleanspark Imagine everything going perfect on your first try. Imagine just throwing a pencil at a piece of paper and art appearing. Sure it'd be somewhat cool for a minute, but it would quickly become meaningless due to the lack of rewarding feeling for your hard work.

@renovatedkitchen My biggest problem honestly is my immaturity, other than that I guess I am alright. I do struggle in other areas as well though.

@whiterose then people don't take you seriously and wave you off because of immaturity thinking you will take everything lightly because you just don't care. I've been there too

@omni Spooky is the cutest little black cat. When she wants to show affection she'll climb up on your lap, put her forepaws on your shoulders, then carefully hug you.

@ceruleanspark that's great to hear. How long have you guys/she have it for? We had a cat for about a year before she got run over.
