  1. We wouldn't need inspirational quotes if life wasn't horrible.

    1. @renovatedkitchen If life wasn't horrible, I think a lot of things wouldn't exist. It'd be pretty weird actually. In the Matrix, the architecht actually states that the original matrix was supposed to be a perfect world, but that humanity subconciously rejected it.

      1. @ceruleanspark Actually that is pretty much the trut nowadays, I never watched the Matrix but now I am interested.

        1. @whiterose truth*

      2. @ceruleanspark But you can't really reject that our lives are not perfect. I feel trying to become inspired just masks reality.

        1. @renovatedkitchen It all really depends on your understanding and perspective as well.

          1. @whiterose I guess some people are just meant to stay depressed

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:01:22 UTC from MuSTArDroid
            1. @renovatedkitchen maybe, I was for a long time. I tried to kill myself once but all that led me to get a job and keep it for three years since then :)

              1. @whiterose pretty much everyone's been there I'm sure. I have to live so I can sacrifice my life for someone else. Pretty pointless and depressing thought.

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:06:57 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                1. @renovatedkitchen Not really, that shouldn't be your goal but if the opportunity presented itself I hope I could be brave enough to suffer through death then let a friend, or even a stranger die because I was a coward :)

                  1. @whiterose I watched Wreckage today before I left for work, the guy was tracking his girl and he didn't care if he got killed or not. By the way Wreckage is a good movie if you like thrillers :)

                  2. @whiterose join military > take the bullet for someone else so that they can feel meaningful and have a second chance. Either that or I just take myself out. Same result, but first option helps someone.

                    1. @renovatedkitchen I get the feeling you are on a anti-depressant? Those things supposedly level your moods, but really all it does is make you numb. I used to be on Abilify and a ton of other drugs for Schizophrenia and depression, I am off every single one of those for the last three years, that whole time I held this job I have now.

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:15:48 UTC from web
                      1. @whiterose I should be on something to keep me level, but if I seek medication, it will probably put a black mark on my medical record for when I apply to be a fighter pilot.

        2. @renovatedkitchen I think some level of adversity is necessary. I don't think life has to be as generally awful as it is for a lot of us, but a life without struggle would be functionally meaningless.

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 13:58:16 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
          1. @ceruleanspark Imagine everything going perfect on your first try. Imagine just throwing a pencil at a piece of paper and art appearing. Sure it'd be somewhat cool for a minute, but it would quickly become meaningless due to the lack of rewarding feeling for your hard work.

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:03:15 UTC from web
          2. @ceruleanspark some struggles aren't really worth fighting though if you are going to end up back where you were before

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:04:55 UTC from MuSTArDroid
            1. @renovatedkitchen My biggest problem honestly is my immaturity, other than that I guess I am alright. I do struggle in other areas as well though.

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:05:36 UTC from web
              1. @whiterose waits for someone to give him something he can turn into a big joke to try and make someone laugh ;)

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:06:32 UTC from web
              2. @whiterose then people don't take you seriously and wave you off because of immaturity thinking you will take everything lightly because you just don't care. I've been there too

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:10:25 UTC from MuSTArDroid
            2. @renovatedkitchen Yeah, I know you don't mean struggle as a metaphysical concept. You mean the general day to day bull**** that makes up most of our lives.

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:06:42 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
              1. @ceruleanspark yup. Exactly that. Day in and out. Same thing on repeat.

                1. @renovatedkitchen hugs you =/

                2. @renovatedkitchen On the plus side, my girlfriends missing cat, who we both thought had died but wouldn't admit it, came back today!

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:09:42 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                  1. @ceruleanspark Yay!

                    1. @omni Spooky is the cutest little black cat. When she wants to show affection she'll climb up on your lap, put her forepaws on your shoulders, then carefully hug you.

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:12:00 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                      1. @ceruleanspark Not that Spooky even has real paws because she is too tiny.

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:12:28 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                      2. @ceruleanspark Aww... how cute...

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:13:32 UTC from web
                        1. @omni she also never learned to meow properly so she just makes toy squeaky kitten noises.

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:15:21 UTC from web
                          1. @ceruleanspark I made a little inhuman squeak noise when I read that

                          2. (Ugh, why am I having so many violent thoughts? I'm not even a violent person, I try to never hurt people...)

                            1. @omni they happen.

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:21:14 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                              1. @renovatedkitchen I know, but I generally don't have all too much of them, but now I can think of nothing else... x.x Oh well, it'll probably go away again as everything does, yeah~

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:22:05 UTC from web
                                1. @omni sometimes they do. Sometimes they stay. Sometimes they want you to do something bad to someone while they are talking to you

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:23:18 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                  2. @ceruleanspark that's great to hear. How long have you guys/she have it for? We had a cat for about a year before she got run over.

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:14:24 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                    1. @renovatedkitchen Spooky is a grandmother, so she's quite old.

Tuesday, 09-Oct-12 14:16:10 UTC from web
                      1. @ceruleanspark that's good that she came home though. Must have been a big surprise considering.
