  1. Hey guys, I'm thinking about making a group, but I was wanting to know if there is anything I should know before going about doing it. Also, can you have more than one group created at a time just in case I want to have another one later on for whatever reason, or is there some sort of limit? I don't really know how groups work, so I was thinking it wouldn't hurt to ask. I'm hoping it wouldn't be too early for me to make one, but I'm willing to give it a shot. :)

    1. @tekkdan You can create as many groups as you want. Just make sure you fill the form out right. So many people forget to enter a group name and end up with an unusable, un-erasable group.

      1. @ceruleanspark >un-erasable. And someone should go fix that or something, heh.

      2. @ceruleanspark How does that happen? So... if you screw up you can't undo it? Not to say that bothers me or anything, but I'm just curious as to what you mean by that.

        1. @tekkdan If you don't put anything in the first box you'll have a bugged group with no name that can't be accessed. It doesn't cause anything bad to happen, but a mod would have to come across it and remove it.

          1. @redenchilada Oh ok, I was thinking that a blank name wouldn't be good.

            1. @tekkdan Granted, if you do it intentionally you'll incur the wrath of the staff and their trash can vision, but groups don't affect how the site works enough to cause any real problems.

    2. @tekkdan Just start one up and you can change it, edit it, start more, etc any time. Groups on here are just a way to categorize notices.
