    1. @broniebrown I love those kind of drives. My old WD ended up in about 20 pieces after I realized it doesn't matter if it goes back together or not.

      1. @eaglehooves Yeah. I just broke the case. It is not a great loss if the controller has a malfunction. I only need the data on the drive itself. At least I have something to wish for Christmas.

        1. @broniebrown My external case quickly became a circuit board I plug into hard drives, seems to work a lot better now.

          1. @colfax I bought once a docking bay for hard drives. Once I needed this because a member of my family had some problems with a laptop hard drive. A complete system failure and I had to backup all the files.

            1. @broniebrown Yeah, that's what I use this for when it's not serving as storage, just need to find a laptop drive adapter for it at some point.
