God dammit, Linux. Why does stuff really have to be broken when it's broken? Why can't we have a bit of nonsensical Windows stuff where issues randomly fix itself? That would be really great right now...

@widget I can't get my Android device to be listen under "adb devices", no matter what I do (I do have the udev rules and everything, and "lsusb" finds it). I'm currently trying to fix permissions using CWM Recovery on the Android itself but it's taking so long I'm assuming I broke something pretty badly on the Android device itself by messing around with unstable development features (like "pm create-user"). I guess I should restore my Nandroid backup from yesterday and try again.

@omni @widget Worth noting: I'm not running the stock ROM for my Samsung Galaxy Gio, but an unofficial CyanogenMod 10 part by Maclaw.

@omni that sucks dude. I don't use smartphones cause of expensive plans but still that'd be bad.

@bee815 I only have one because my dad got one on his plan and thinks those phones are way too hard to use, otherwise I would still be using my old Nokia N90 Symbian phone (technically still a smartphone, I guess, but nowhere near as functional).,

@omni k. I won't be getting a smartphone anytime soon, my parents are cheapskates and have raised me to be one too; additionally there is a lot of free wifi spot around where I live so I get around with an emergency call phone and an iPod touch with google voice

@widget I did. And what is bad practice, exactly? I listed multiple things in there.

@widget Meh, it's only run as superuser, how could it hurt? (Remembers running "sudo rm -rf /" long ago)

@widget I made one before I started messing around with the experimental multi-user support of Android. I don't even know if the stuff worked before with this ROM, though, it may also be a bad ROM (resulting in me having to go back to the CyanogenMod 9 port, which also has issues, and then going back to the one I'm using now and getting angry because they're both half-broken and the developer won't release any updates anymore...)

@widget Still not working, guess I should just assume that this ROM is broken... Dammit :(
