@purplephish20 It doesn't work anyway. used to do it thinking it helped, but ultimately, it's based on the brand and how you handle them.

@purplephish20 That wire won't break if you remove it properly (by gripping the connector, not just yanking on the cord).

@ceruleanspark yikes, im too wimpy to try that

@purplephish20 My brother does that all the time. Then, shockingly, ends up asking to borrow my cables because his have all stopped charging his iPod.

@purplephish20 But to be honest, the thing to do would be to buy a dock, as apple has just rendered that type of dock obsolete, people will be trying to shift them on the cheap. No wires to worry about there. (Apple do a standalone charging dock with a vanilla AUX lineout for speakers)

@ceruleanspark I do in fact have a dock. It's just saving my wire for synching things, useless if it gets bent enough. Like my old one

@purplephish20 I mean Apple makes a dock with a USB cord on the other end, so that you drop it in the dock to sync with the PC.

@ceruleanspark well when this ipod dies and I get a new one I may just consider that
