Homestuck: it's a rough entry, but once it gets going it's pretty amazing. That's not a metaphor or anything.

@unhipdruid The complexity isn't a problem, it eases you into it all very gradually. It's just that act 1 is a little too gradual about it.

@toksyuryel I think part of the issue is that it introduces you to a bunch of game constructs that are all completely abandoned by the end of act 3.

@ceruleanspark I do wish we could have seen more of Tech-Hop. It's the best thing ever.

@toksyuryel I wish we'd actually seen a fraymotif actually happen at any point.

@ceruleanspark One happened during the "Doc Scratch's Apartment" arc. It's easy to miss because it happened up in the banner and it was during the "Doc Scratch's Apartment" arc.

@toksyuryel aka "it takes way too long to explain anything and bores most who try to read it to death"? Or was that just me?

@redenchilada No that's act 1 in a nutshell. Once you get past it into act 2 it picks up the pace to a nice comfortable level, excepting a couple more speedbumps during act 5.

@redenchilada It's much more managable in book form for some reason. Probably because books provide a ready-made progress gauge.

@widget Moonstuck is done, so it's no longer a matter of "catching up". It's just a matter of "finishing".

@widget It ended yesterday. @redenchilada kinda made a big deal about it happening while he was asleep.
