Also, why do people call themselves DJs when they don't even mix music, much less jockey disks?

@abigpony It's an old term but I guess it's stuck as a general term for people who still do sets. And for producers, **shrug** I guess it "sounds cool" to them

@neurario producers don't call themselves DJs and there are still legitimate DJs out there. People who don't DJ should just find another name.

@abigpony Distortionist refers to my unique style of music i call DISTORTION. No i do not jockey disks, all my stuff is Digital. I dont think it went through earlier though, so if anyone wants a copy of my stuff please PM, however i can not send the Stag Party remixes, dont have the right to yet.

@sirdiskscratch Distortion is an effect. Do you just add distortion to stuff?

@abigpony Not exactly. I up the gain by aprox. 95 Db and add static, then a few personal touching, maybe envoleping and a few other things.

@sirdiskscratch making cheap custom effects is still making cheap effects. Bass drops are eh. Whatever. i can give you something for that, but it's still nothing to do with DJing.

@sirdiskscratch I can actually admire that. Hard copies are rad. Soundcloud you can upload audio an stuff and it's just hosted online. That or bandcamp it seems, but bandcamp is for original music.
