        @electroidfire GNOME is a Linux Desktop environment, with the latest version being GNOME3 (https://www.gnome.org/gnome-3/). The GNOME developers also want to make their own Operating System for tablets named GNOME OS (which will probably be Linux-based).

      @xrevan86 As a GNOME3 user: There are some points where it's a mayor disaster, but my all-round experience with it is pretty nice. Also, GNOME OS looks like a system which will be pretty good, although I will install my own software, most likely (especially because Empathy is a complete mess nowadays. Like, ugh!)
