  1. I feel like I'm too productive in my computer classes. I can come in to a test and work for other classes to do and still be done in less than half of the period.

          1. @xeleanorxrigbyx I've never been on imgur to browse, but I know our school blocks it because a classmate tried using it.

            1. @redenchilada lameness.

              1. @xeleanorxrigbyx I feel like being on here itself is pushing it, since the school actually does monitor these things even if the site isn't blocked yet. Nobody's ever said anything to me, though.

                  1. @xeleanorxrigbyx ROW ROW FIGHT DA POWAH no but really, I'm better-behaved in my computer classes than any of my others... I can't really focus well without a computer screen in front of me...

                    1. @redenchilada Actually, s/computer/elective/. I only doze off in my cores.

                2. @redenchilada guessing all the proxy sites are blocked?

Tuesday, 13-Nov-12 18:09:49 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                  1. @renovatedkitchen I don't use proxies at school. Just a personal thing, plus using proxies to access a blocked site looks worse on me than browsing a site that should theoretically be blocked but isn't.

                    1. @redenchilada if you really want to do stuff that you can't there, and the Internet is fast enough use a program like team viewer and do a remote desktop session.

                      1. @renovatedkitchen The school blocks ports used by stuff like that, though. (Besides, VNC master race)

    2. @redenchilada I was the same way. This was largely because those classes were very poorly designed and didn't actually teach much of value, which is why I eventually gave up on the whole thing and decided to just teach myself.

      1. @toksyuryel I take 'em less for actually learning things than for being motivated to learn things myself. Plus it's basically a free period that I get credit for, so

        1. @redenchilada Wasn't a free period for us because we weren't allowed to do anything on the computers except what they assigned.

          1. @toksyuryel This teacher doesn't mind what we do as long as it's school-safe and we've done our work. My CS3 teacher doesn't let us play games, but I've also got an IDE set up to do programming stuff in in that class, so it doesn't bug me.
