@kamikaze Not really. They realize they don't look like unwashed trash like that. I don't know any long-haired metal heads who get girls so I guess all the hair is clouding their reasoning.

@abigpony Everyone can put on black clothes, spikes and get a tattoo in a week. But it takes a decade of dedication to grow hair like that. But I admit there's an alternative to having long hair - you can play in a metal band.

@kamikaze I know 3 or 4 short haired guys who play in metal bands. In fact, every metal head I know plays in a metal band because metal is easy to play. I don't know any metal heads who "put on black clothes, spikes and get a tattoo in a week" and they all see it as poser stuff that people do to fit a trend.
