    @omni so is there any was to install linux on a USB such that it's more than merely persistent and can install drivers?

      @pony Could you explain "can install drivers"? Unless you want the NVIDIA/ATI graphic card drivers, you don't need to install drivers? But in that case, a USB stick is most likely WAY too slow to be able to use those well.
