    I'm trying to get a hold of the history of Equestria, but I don't get it. I don't have a time reference for the founding. It is followed by Discord's rule. The end of his rule is the beginning of Celestia's and Luna's rule, which also is the first mention of alicorns in the history of Equestria. About all this I only know it happened more than a 1000 years ago. Then, within a year Luna rose as Nightmare Moon, was banished and the crystal empire was temp-banned for 1000 years. Approx. 200 years ago Ponyville was founded (by estimation of Granny Smith's age). I don't know about the founding of Canterlot, Manehatten, Cloudsdale or Fillydelphia. I also don't know when Saddle Arabia was founded or its diplomatic history. Is there somewhere I can look this stuff up?

      @widget Is there a compilation of Equestrian history as known? I normally look up stuff at mlp.wikia.com, but they don't seem to have a history summary.

      @kamikaze Even the show staff doesn't know what exactly happened in the past. How should we know this? They come up with stories that somehow fit in there.
