I don't get why the police is using rubber rounds, when they should be using lead.

@nerthos because unless they are trying to kill other people, the law enforcement doesn't have a reason to use real bullets. Rubber bullets do enough damage already. I haven't been shot by one, but I wouldn't want to either

@nerthos criminals are people too. No matter what, other humans can't say who lives and who dies. They can always be rehabilitated.

@carcinopony I'm really picky when it comes to disposing of humans. There's a strict "Don't touch good people" rule in my philosophy.

@nerthos what I would do, is rather than put them in prisons, make them do Labour while in prison (building simple things that require human Labour.

@toksyuryel @nerthos its proven that jail time does nothing, but while they are in jail, if they undergo counseling, then they almost always never go back to committing crimes

@renovatedkitchen Exactly. Jail is poorly implemented because it makes people pay for the criminals, instead of the other way around. Thy should be paying to the state for their deeds.

@renovatedkitchen No, it leads to a generalized fear of commiting a crime. If people think lightning will fall from the sky and fry them on the spot if they commit a crime, they won't do it.

@toksyuryel Mhm. There are people like the school shooters who I would have a hard time not killing, but nonetheless, no one deserves to die. I always hope for the best for everyone
