I just bought a cassette. I don't even have a playback device for media that archaic. It's gonna take a cowboy bebop-esque quest to find a player

@ceruleanspark (There was an episode where they had some ludicrous reason to find a betamax player)

@ceruleanspark I remember that!

@ceruleanspark Oh, cool. Music sounds best on low-quality outdated equipment. Definitely way better than those high fidelity systems we have nowadays. Good luck finding a cassette player!

@omni I'm only really buying it to support the band. It's just a couple of covers and what could loosely be termed as a "de-master" of an old track of theirs.

@ceruleanspark Which band are we talking about?

@omni The Protomen in this case

@ceruleanspark If only my audio system wasn't a complete mess based on the hope that non-functioning systems crash so another system which does work can take over the job I would listen to look where they were like, but I don't want to risk my audio system breaking if I pause my music player. Yes, I am actually that bad with computers.

@omni That's only a half truth. I always want PulseAudio to crash so ALSA can take it over. For some stupid reason, uninstalling PulseAudio actually doesn't properly uninstall it and EVERYTHING breaks. So now I'm just trying to forcefully crash PulseAudio so ALSA can play instead. It works mostly, but not for Gnash, so I have to download my videos from YouTube and play them in mplayer.

@omni Pfff- where's the fun on a CD. You can't rewind it with a pen.

@nerthos You can stare at them and be happy without it being much better than a digital download.
Saturday, 22-Dec-12 22:23:19 UTC from web-
@omni Only if you tie them to thin threads so they hang and reflect light, which basically kills them.
Saturday, 22-Dec-12 22:24:06 UTC from web-
@nerthos Which is what I don't do. No, I look at them, look at the packaging, then rip them and put them in my... closet-like thingy and never really look at them again.

@omni I make piles with them, that currently populate the outskirts of my desk space.

@ceruleanspark You don't have one? I have like, 5. If one of them was mine I'd mail it to you. BTW that episode was nice.

@widget sudo: apt-get: command not found

@widget pacman. But I did remove it. Also used --no-save to remove the configuration settings, manually removed configuration, everything, but it stays a mess =/
