      @darkw00d Mine cost about $880 a couple years ago and it's fairly capable as far as laptops go, so you can probably get something decent for $7-800 nowadays if you shop around.

      @darkw00d Having actually used W8 with a touchpad for an extended period, it's actually nowhere near as awful as my previous brief flirtations with it had lead me to believe.

      @darkw00d what cerulean said. I've been using windows 8 for a while too and its really not bad. Personally I would reccomed a used macbook off of the classifieds
