@anarchycarcino It's one of the disadvantages of living in a city. There's no real darkness. In the countryside where I grew up I'd occasionally leave the house at night and go for a walk in the fields in perfect darkness. There weren't any street lights after 10PM. Which means the night sky has a lot more depth.

@anarchycarcino Wolves haven't returned that far into Germany. I think there is only one pack in the entire country, close to the Polish border. We hope that long term they repopulate the country and reduce the need for human hunting to check deer and boar populations.

@anarchycarcino Only the hunters don't seem to like that so much. But the pleasure of killing evades me. So I spare no pity for them.

@anarchycarcino There is one pack. They've been extinct a long time ago. They spreading back into central Europe from the east.

@anarchycarcino They were extinct in the 19th century, ~200 years ago. Today the majority of people is glad they are returning.

@anarchycarcino Other once extinct species like wild cats have returned to Germany, too. There is one in the region I grew up.

@anarchycarcino Well, we have domestic cats and like wolf wild cats have returned to the country as well.

@anarchycarcino Similarly our large rivers are cleaner than they ever were since such things are measured. And many near extinct kinds of fish return.

@anarchycarcino No, thank you. I love cats. But I don't like to be grounded. My parents have a cat and she's really, really sweet and cuddly.

@kamikaze Didn't you say you were in your 30s? How is it still possible for you to be grounded?

@toksyuryel Well, if you've got a cat someone needs to take care of it. You cannot just leave for a week to attend a conference on a whim or somesuch.
