Oh. Nevermind. I go to do a transaction for anything that's not an Android app and it says my debit card is an "unsupported payment method". I guess that means they're just teasing me with the damn things.

@neurario Well, you need a merchant account with whoever operates that specific card to be able to process those. These accounts are very expensive and out of reach to most people.

@toksyuryel Well, it's a Mastercard thing so... I'd assume Google would have something like that under control. I only assume it's country-based because they are still rolling out the full Play Store to some countries; and I can pay for Android applications with the same card.
-
@neurario Google does. But anyone besides Google? Much less likely.
-
@toksyuryel So, wait, merchant account how? To process payments from a credit/debit card? Or WITH the companies who supply them?
-
@neurario You need a merchant account WITH the companies who supply them in order to process payments from them. These accounts are very expensive.
-
@neurario For example, if you want to process Mastercard payments, you'd need a merchant account with Mastercard.
-
@toksyuryel Alright, I see.
-
@neurario This is why most people use payment processors now.
