        2. @ceruleanspark Ah, lovely powerfull Magic the Gathering cards. Alas, I have 2 friends in a 3 mile radius who I can play it with semi-frequently. We play casual. Sadly neither of them have a knack for making good decks. I recently threw together a quickly deck filled with 20 land, 29 Kithkin creatures, 2 equipment, 4 Giant creatures, and 7 spells. The only "creature destruction" being "Krib Swap". Since Kithkin cards seem to share a natural synergy I could just waltz over them with a big weenie.

          1. @critialcloudkicker I drive about 50 miles to get in person games. I bought a bunch of gatecrash stuff (Snagged a boros prerelease box, the boros intro pack and a gatecrash fat-pack). I think you can probbably guess my guild allegiance from that.

            1. @ceruleanspark Ah Boros Legion fan eh ? Yes I was making a joke yesterday about needing to buy deck sleeves ( Seriously I do need new sleeves ) from Dragon. The joke resolved around me saying "Maybe I should get pink Dragon Sleeves, so I can play Boros, you know, white and red" ... I got some serious newspaper dad looks right there.

              1. @critialcloudkicker I love white removal and Worldfire is my favourite spell in the entire game so yeah. The Boros are pretty great.

                1. @ceruleanspark ( insert lame "I don't want to set the world on fire, I just want to spark a flame in your heart" joke here ) How does that help you win the game if I may ask ?

                  1. @critialcloudkicker I run Elspeth, Knight-Errant as well as keeping a bunch of cheap red-burns in the deck. In an ideal setup, Elspeth makes all my permanents indestructible and I wipe everyone out. In a non-optimal setup, I'm a mountain and lightning bolt draw away from victory. Also even if I don't win, Worldfire is hilarious.

                    1. @ceruleanspark Wait... Either you plan on get a ultimate with a planeswalker, or planeswalkers are not permanents ( which in all honesty is possible since I have no idea what the rules around planeswalkers are since I do not own a planeswalker ). Either way I doubt that would be a tourney-deck would it ?

                      1. @critialcloudkicker Getting +4 on Elspeth is actually far more likely than getting 9 lands for Worldfire and drawing Worldfire before I either lose the game or win some other way. My actual victory conditions are the far more likely "Beat them up with cheap Boros creatures and Batallion". Worldfire is just a novelty that appeals to me.

                        1. @ceruleanspark Ahh :) Appart from the planeswalkers you are probably just a gamer like me and my 2 friends then :) Have you ever been to events or tourney's ?

                          1. @critialcloudkicker No, I've never been to one. Playing the way I enjoy (ridiculous stuff like worldfire) and winning at tournaments aren't compatible with each-other anyway.

                            1. @ceruleanspark Amen to that, I am however contemplating to go to release events. Just as soon as I both have time and read up on them. Questions such as "wait, do you even get something you can take home afterwards" and "What are you supposed to bring ? if anything at all" are on my mind. It does not help that the nearest place to do it is a good hour away, with the worst possible parking, or I can take Public Transportation, which boils down to a slight tweak in the uncomfortable/annoying-stuff scale at best.

                              1. @critialcloudkicker At a pre-release, you generally buy a "prerelease pack" of 6 boosters and build a deck out of that, with lands borrowed from the store. If you win, you'll get more boosters and anything else the store feels like giving you. Otherwise, you'll at least get to keep your pre-release pack. You only need to bring a life-counter (if you have one) and possibly a pen and paper to keep track of the game state.

                                1. @ceruleanspark Most stores these days don't let you keep the land anymore. Good thing they started putting it in boosters again.
