https://twitter.com/johndelancie/status/299195934120747008 So does this mean we can no longer buy the documentary? I don't get it.

@pony awww man i was looking forward too that
-
@thebackroundpony #RDNStream #s2e11 Well I don't know what's going on with it yet.
-
@pony I do not think anyone gets it, well aside from the ones who actually saw the incoming and outgoing money. Which the bronies have been screaming about. Which was never delivered. I blame the people of bronydoc equally, or perhaps even more, than all the pirates.
-
@critialcloudkicker @thebackroundpony "According to John de Lancie, piracy for Bronies has already been high enough that they're shutting down DVD production, and they're being turned down for Netflix and other channels. John de Lancie and the rest of the team are pretty upset."
-
@pony Let me paint you a picture. Gameloft is upset too. *pudum-tish* ... as for netflix, no idea what it is
-
@critialcloudkicker Sorry. Your joke went over my head. x3 Netflix is an online service that streams videos legally including MLP:FiM.
-
@pony tru dat
-
@critialcloudkicker #RDNStream #s2e12 well they are DRM-free, which I'm strongly in favor of, but I guess that must make Netflix not want to carry it for reasons.
-
@pony That was not a joke, it is the actual ( sad ) truth. Bronies are seen as the most generous people ( as seen by that kid with some sort of disease Tara Strong visited, and the Humble Bundle, and many more ) the current market ploys to use this by releasing stuff aimed at bronies without a definite amount of money you can/need to put into it. such as the Gameloft game or the Bronydoc. Since these ploys faile one by one they are upset. Bronies have been calling out for a long time that the Gameloft game is unfair, and that Bronydoc should release their profit&cost chart for we no longer believe them, they failed to deliver. And now they are blaming the pirates. Sad, this could have been another breakthrough against DRM. Instead it has become another dissapointment because people are greedy ( this last part works both ways )
-
@critialcloudkicker I see what you're saying (was thrown off by the rim-shot). I blame media people and distributors more than pirates as well. As far as DRM stuff goes. I avoid it altogether. I don't need anything that I don't get to keep without someone monitoring my use etc.
-
@pony Hmm, right, basically I was saying that bronies seemed to be a big vat of wealth to dip into, and sofar the only actual semi successful company is welovefine.com and now the rest of the buisnessworld is very dissapointed. I think a vast majority of this is because the prices are simply too steep. ( or do not live in America and thus can not even get the most basic MLP stuff without paying a hefty price over the American one )
-
@critialcloudkicker Thank Solestia i am in America
-
@pony As for DRM. I already have STEAM and from time to time it feels like the old ball'n'chains. I also had Origin, but Origin left a taste in my mouth so bad I actually scrubbed my harddisk clean with steel-wool. As for DRM on movies. GET GONE AND STAY GONE !
-
@thebackroundpony I need a proxy, or need to make my own stuff... Right now I am trying to clean my house so I might get started on that.
-
@critialcloudkicker yeah Gameloft wouldn't be so bad since they reduced Rainbow Dash's price, but their technical support blows and you can lose your progress and money paid very easily (almost guaranteed to lose it if you play often).
-
@pony I havent unlocked dashie yet whats her price
-
@critialcloudkicker nyeh.. I try not to think about it too much since it gives me a headache.
-
@thebackroundpony As long as you have the latest update it should be 90 gems.
-
@pony So do I really need to make an arguement as to why most bronies are on edge concerning their wallet unless they actually get to see some results ? too many bad apples in the brew made us very picky about choosing out cider.
-
@critialcloudkicker xD I see what you did there! I totally agree.
-
@pony Hmm, Not sure if I should EVER buy gems though
-
@critialcloudkicker i gathered 60 gems so far
-
@thebackroundpony Hmm, how did you manage that ?
-
@critialcloudkicker @georbrony I bought $10 USD worth of gems before my game broke for the 2nd time. Consequently, that's when I finally decided to use my save data from the older version of the game plus a hack/trainer app for android, (currently won't work with winter versions of the game). Before I bought gems I had already earned roughly 300 gems through ads and offers. Since I had to restore the second time I gave myself ample gems.
-
@pony oh yea there is an update... I will install this update, and if somehow I lose all my progress. I will ask you how/where to get this hack/trainer app. But first I have a meeting to attend to. This might be a boring upcoming hour *sigh* back in an hour ( or more )
-
@critialcloudkicker I highly recommend backing up your game before updating. There's a guide for android players listed in the !gameloft group.

@critialcloudkicker it's the bottom link: http://goo.gl/4osBL
-
@critialcloudkicker I never spend hems unless I have to so derpy + daily boneses + level ups = lots of gems
-
@thebackroundpony iPod key grrrrt
-
@thebackroundpony saving them is best yeah :) If you ever accidentally spend some you can undo by forcibly exiting the game right away (before it saves for example after you play a mini-game). This can be done on Android by tapping the home button or powering off. I'm pretty sure you could do it on iOS devices by powering off as well.
-
@thebackroundpony !bestgame does require you to spend gems if you want to complete certain quests of course. Some are definitely worth paying to skip. Others, like the ones where you invite Rarity and Dashie to Ponyville, I prefer not to skip.
