  1. I just read up on "battlefield 4". Is there a snowflakes chance in hell that I will buy it if I need to use Origin or some clunky web-interface so I can play it on my computer ? Only to find out later that I can throw another [purchace price] at it for the DLC's ? I do not think so. Anyone else has a diffrent idea or standpoint ?

      1. @crusader8 If it is good and I want it, I will buy it. If it so happens to be a shooter I'll play it. But right now it does not look likely that Battlefield 4 is going to deliver for me.

        1. @critialcloudkicker BF3 is... nice. For the genre. But Origin almost makes it unplayable.

          1. @xeleanorxrigbyx Origin has been known to scan people's harddrives for marketing reasons... And it is still in the EULA... well I am sorry, but I am not going to agree with that. Although some say that the same thing is in the Steam EULA.

            1. @critialcloudkicker It hooks itself to some games. It happened to my Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

      1. @nerthos Piracy is bad. But in case there is no demo availible and I plan to buy it if I think it is good. I will almost always happily make an exception. Although in some cases... rules are made to be broken...

        1. @critialcloudkicker I use piracy to try games. If they're good enough I consider buying them.

          1. @nerthos that's what I said... or tried to say.

      1. @xeleanorxrigbyx If there is Origin, I will not be there. I have Steam and I am already hating myself a little bit for having such a large DRM tool at my fingertips I need to oblidge, always. But sofar it works well, and the sales are really nice.
