@mushi I nearly finished the game once, I am now using a walkthrough. Caracter screen tells me I am on 20%

@critialcloudkicker once i mad my characters build so poorly that i had to start another character, than i beat the game with that one

@mushi Yea, the game is somewhat unforgiving at points like that. I went with the mage approach myself and went deep in the spirit tree for Mana Clash and Animate Dead... Although the first one is AWESOME... the 2nd one is buggy to say the least. The tactics menu does not even give me the option to activate that mode when able, if not able ( at a bear's corpse for instance ) the loop will just go infinite trying to activate... amongst other flaws...

@mushi A valid approach, one which I abuse a lot too to be honest. Together with Virulent Walking Bomb and Walking Bomb... It is a guaranteed splatterfest, and although I take a lot of friendly fire, I think it is just to top off your own caracters and let a bomb explode causing your enemies to be hurt way more than you are :)

@mushi Effective vs cheap... I have seen veterans of many fields succumb under a newcomer and cheap tactics who prove equally effective many times. Regardless, as long as it is fun, right ? :)

@mushi So a gang of thugs is coming at me. I send my tank to the front and use my mage to carve a glyph of defence where he stands, I send my thief out to stab and steal, meanwhile I give a Virulent Walking Bomb to the leader of the thugs, and a Walking Bomb to one of his chronies, My rogue stabs the leader of the thugs in the back, and I order my mage to kill him with an arcane spark. The result ? massive splatterfest

@mushi I am thinking of Arcane Warrior and... I am honestly not sure about the other one... Because you wear heavy armor and magic >= strength because of Arcane Warrior you would make a most formidable shapeshifter. Or I could sway Spirit Healer or Blood Mage... *shrug*

@mushi Yea, me too, Although I have thought about it rather long seen as there is a possible ending where you become Queen... Well given you are a female of royal descent... Mages can not be of royal descent unfortionatly >_<

@critialcloudkicker Blood mage is the best for a shapeshifter, since you can deal massive amounts of damage burning all your mana and then shapeshift until it regenerates.

@nerthos And how would that be ? I mean you are a mage so you spend mana, that is unrelated to being a bloodmage ( or not ) and then the shapeshift forms are being feuled by strength.

@critialcloudkicker The blood mage burns through mana rapidly. If you shapeshift into a support transformation, you can then use the character on that support role until it recovers mana. If you want to focus it entirely on strenght, then yes, go with Arcane Warrior. I never used shapeshifting much even though Morrigan was basically my main character, because my strategy was based on using her for crowd control and my main character as a tank.
