Hit and miss for me, but overall nifty anti-gay marriage designs. I'm looking for something to use as my FB profile pic. Excuse my rustling. http://www.virtuousplanet.com/cat146-1/Pro-Marriage-t-shirts

@pony of course the term "anti-gay marriage" sounds anti-gay, which I'm not.
-
@pony This one's wording is pretty nice. http://www.virtuousplanet.com/richardsontees/s00000000000000016904?shopMode=marketplace

@nerthos can't see! how do I zoom?
-
@nerthos ah there we go! I like that one yeah http://www.virtuousplanet.com/shops/userimages/00004/00000000126/section/00000000000000018765.png

@pony First column, third one in the list.
-
@pony Yup.
-
@pony What anoys me is that they're given more rights than normal people. I mean, I'm not anti-gay, but come on. Don't screw with me either.
-
@nerthos eeyup More rights than religious fol it seems at least.
-
@pony folks*
-
@pony Some times it seems like they're just trolling.
-
@nerthos Each side trolls the other because they usually don't know how to use neutral language or are unwilling.
-
@pony Both sides ask too much.
-
@nerthos centrism ftw!
-
@pony Pretty much. They can't be wiped out but neither can they be given a whole new tier of privileges just because of their sexual orientation. If you want special privileges you have to earn them as an individual.
-
@neurario They're asking for a new kind of marriage to be implemented for them. It's like going to a shelter, asking for food, and then complaining because you don't like the food they're giving everybody. The laws are the laws, no matter if you like them or not. The only way to have special privileges and new laws made to fit you is taking power.
-
@neurario In simple words, you're free to love whoever you want, but you can't demand traditions be reshaped to fit your views.
-
@neurario I think civil unions that don't necessarily promote any type of sexuality are a fair compromise. I understand that active homosexuals want civil (and in some cases religious) recognition that their lifestyle is acceptable. I just disagree. I sense that homosexuality brings unhappiness. It should go without saying that I don't expect everypony to agree with me, but I'll still remain active politically to try and be my brother's keeper if that makes sense.
-
@pony and not just unhappiness to the ones who practice it, I mean. Otherwise I can see how that could be considered trying to control others' lives. I'm concerned for families and society in general.
-
@pony That's mainly the reason I'm opposed to it. Not out of concern, but out of respect. It breaks the "do whatever you please, but do it in private" rule. One's rights end when they go against the rights of the rest.
-
@pony I'm not just offended... I'm genuinely hurt by what is being said here... *closes tab*
-
@purplephish20 Man, you're bound to see differing oppinions on the internet. It will remain a polite and civil discussion.
-
@purplephish20 I wouldn't bring it up here if I hadn't seen opposing views openly expressed on RDN. Sorry you're offended.
-
@anarchycarcino same
