I think the only thing that really offends me in political and even religious discussion is when one side's views are censored while the others' are not.

@pony I believe hitler did nothing wrong and everything he did was justified, and should be revered in schools as a great leader, my opinion is valid, and you should give equal respect to it as everyone else's, and I should be given the right to express it publically, without censorship

@pony See, that makes sense. I don't really consider myself offended, I mean, I actually get the 'keep it to yourself' mentality. Maybe that's just because I'm not as social as other folks I know. But I'd rather that, for example, me having a thing for guys is an afterthought compared to other stuff I do.

@purplephish20 Phish, this is the point at which I have to intercede. You've stated in many occasions, for example, that "religion is evil and wrong" therefore offending religious people. You're going to find opinions that differ from yours whenever you go, but as long as nobody's beating you with a sign, you can't really complain. Discussions are allowed as long as they're polite, and you're free to contribute or stay away from them. Also godwin's law, why. It's either censor neither side or censor both sides. Things must be kept fair.

@pony Exactly, and that's why I'm allowing all this to happen instead of just throwing silences around. Freedom to both or freedom to none.

@purplephish20 I don't think mods in general here want RDN to be a forum for deep controversial political discussion. I prefer to express my views here relatively superficially and, except when questions arise from it, I like to do so briefly. Otherwise I'd be happy to expand upon my statements. If you're genuinely interested we can talk via DM.
