The bits can buy me a tent or pay rent until I get settled, or, if somepony is nice enough to offer lodging in exchange for work It'd give me a little more comfort or freedom.

I'd be willing to trade 1 week salary for treasure map though depending on how much my favorite pony would like it and how hard the treasure is to come by. Also, deliveries are a big maybe. I'd ask for letters and news from my world, human medicine, toiletries, or things I might be able to sell. If deliveries couldn't provide either letters from home or medicine I'd trade it plus a weeks salary for a nice house. The stay forever option is important to me because after 10 years I may have put down roots, but I wouldn't want it to be compulsory in case I do want to return. It also depends greatly on whether Jennifer comes with me or not and chooses to stay. If she does come over and decides to become a pony I'd also become some type of pony (except alicorn) though I may have to forego my bag of bits.

Finally, my saddle bag would contain a couple of compact quadruple scripture sets, some quality solar batteries, a few sturdy small laptops and/or tablet PCs, and as many high quality compact data storage devices as will fit physically in the saddle bag, each with the maximum disk space that technology allows, all full with compressed digital versions of every wholesome work of fiction and non-fiction, art, and, lastly, every awesome video that can possibly fit on the estimated 100 TB (including pony art ^_^). http://www.kingston.com/us/company/press?article=6487

@pony Hmm, I think I have it sort of figured out. Start out as any 4point pony ( Earth pony would really make it more easy at the short term, but Unicorn would make it lots easier in the long run ), deliveries, and stay forever ( it is an option right ? ) ... Use your skillset to build a house. In case of pegasus that is not really much of an issue. Use your monthly deliveries and sell them to get super famous and rich. Pretty much become famous in the same way as Dr. Emmett Brown. As an earth pony I would probably live off the land and be an artisan of art. As Pegasus I would probably become a mystery solving flying legend. And as unicorn I would probably become a traveling sage in quest of attaining more power and knowledge, helping everypony underway providing they can tell me a story or have a bed to crash in for the night... Preferably both...

@pony I just hope that the "Stay Forever" thing is an option that is given to you at the end of the 10 year term rather than choosing your own fate at the start "never return..." ... sound eerie... Even if it is a magical land feuled by friendship and rainbows

@pony I wonder if there is a Cutie Mark for being helpful and/or for being able to run through several scenario's in your head at lightning speed and hence being able to predict where the chokepoints of any and all projects are, and even able to predict what the person you are talking to IRL is going to use as counter arguement

@nerthos Neltharion the Earth-Warder + Old gods madnessspeak = Deathwing the Destroyer... In my WoW days my guildmates and I used to laugh hours on end at the stupid stuff that was whispered to poor Neltharion... "*spooky voice* Neltharion... Neltharion... you smell... Take a bath..." ended up a killer during the silent times of voice chat

@critialcloudkicker I really liked pre-madness Neltharion. He's kind of cool in it's modern incarnation too, at least in the books. But when he was sane, all the best friends forever thing with Malygos was really cool. They both ended up crazy, yet their ideas had logic and reason in a certain way.
