      @nerthos It's surprisingly different from the episodes that come after. Season 1 very rarely divided up the girls, even during character centric episodes, wheras season 2 and 3 quite often have some of the girls completely absent.

         @ceruleanspark Also all the characters were likable in season 1 with the exception of the ones that were specifically made to be frowned upon. It had a lighter tone but a more immersive feel.

      @snowlynx wikipedia : blab blah blah ~ r. The negative connotation comes from this "wish-fulfillment" implication: the "Mary Sue" is judged a poorly developed character, too perfect and lacking in realism to be interesting. ~ ... AHHH
