        1. @redenchilada How else are they going to get people. Make their site really interesting on the front page, but in reality it's utter crap, and then when people register spam them with rubbish and uninteresting stuff to try and keep them

          1. @mrdragon In my perfect world more places would be like this but I get that the open "you can find everything on Public" approach doesn't work for most sites. (Plus it leads to the place being more of a chat room and less of a real social network, but whatever.)
