@mushi I would have loved to live in a college dorm. Instead I lived with a 39 year old mom and her 9 year old daughter for a while ( whom I had a lot in common with despite original assumptions ) to live 25 KM off of campus... ... how do they do stuff like this in Brazil anyway ? like 25% of the collegekids here rent a room nobody seems to use. and the other 75% have unionized creating student slum area's ( sometimes entire streets )

@critialcloudkicker well, first, like 30% of brazilians go to the college, and only 10% of the manage to graduate. Here, the parents usually give people who go to the college a car, but the cheappest working car you can find here (working, not good) is at least R$10000. Sometimes they rent a room close to the college for them. In my case, i have to take 2 /FULL/ busses everyday , it takes about one and a half hour to go there. But, if they are from other states/countires the college give them a room sometimes. As a curiosity, Recently our genious president Dilma Roussef started /paying/ black people to go to the college, they dont even have to get good grades....

@imabeyobrony You know what is weird ? The first black man to join the KKK after they so called and seemingly have reformed their ways, I would really like to see that happen... That would be weird. @mushi getting free college money because he is black, although racist, that is not weird.

@critialcloudkicker the federal colleges /are/ free. but in their case it has a negative price. They make in a month the same i make with my lab work, but i need to keep my grades high, and they only need to not get kicked out from there

@nerthos seriously, up untill sometime ago, the only special thing they have is that 25% of the vacancies of the college (does that make sense in english? like the "avaliableness" of the college) were for "black people", but now there is that. They Get 400 a month and free restaurant simply for oassing to the college, and their graes are ridiculous. When i passed, the cut grade for chemistry was 103, and for the black guys it was -20 or something. Also, that is toatly ridiculous, Once, a pair of identical black twins tried to go to the college, one of them went to the interview with the mother (white) and the other with the fater (black), only the one who went with the fater was considered black enough for that. They sued the university....
